How Mortgage Brokers Can Be More Productive and Efficient
Did you know that creating a routine of listing your to-do list can help you alleviate stress?
Especially when you are working from home where you are surrounded by a lot of distractions that add up to your stress.
And due to a lot of things we do at home, like our chores, taking care of our kids and family, and running our business remotely, we tend to focus more on the pending work we must do that we lose sight of the things we've already accomplished.
And sometimes, we beat ourselves up for not accomplishing more tasks than we thought we can do in our minds.
This is why setting your priorities is important rather than thinking about them all the time.
In this case, the prioritisation matrix is a great tool to help you list down all the tasks that you have on your mind to make them more tangible and achievable.
The matrix is divided into 4 quadrants:
(1) critical and immediate
(2) critical and low effort
(3) critical and high effort
(4) collection bin
In critical and immediate, you need to list down all the tasks that you need to do now.
In critical and low effort, you can list down all the tasks that are important but requires low effort.
In critical and high effort, you can list down all the tasks that are crucial but requires a lot of time and high effort.
In the collection bin, you can list down all the random tasks and ideas that consistently pops up in your mind.
In this way, you won't subconsciously think about the tasks you "need" to do now. You are able to segregate the tasks from the most important to the least.
And through this, you would be able to check, which tasks you should prioritise and do for the day and which tasks you can do but you should let go to outsource and delegate.
Because you can only do so much of the limited time you have every day. you don't want to be spending all your time on your work and forget about the things and people that matter most in your life.
So long as you focus on your priorities and delegate the tasks that you need to, then you can be sure that your day would be more efficiently, cost-effective and stress-free.
